Day 18 - cardio recovery

Today was another day I was glad we were doing this... I almost just slept in. lol

Day 17 - pure cardio, cardio abs AND p90x

Today I noticed they wear these little sweat bands on their wrists... maybe I need one. ;)

Also, Shaun T is just beginning to annoy me... I hope I get to do something different soon. :)

And, I found that if during the 15 minutes of the "pure cardio" part, if I take a break.... I'm more resistant to finish without more breaks. So, that means no breaks for me! :) So to help with that, each exercise takes about a minute, so however many minutes are left, I just say okay Jackie, five more! lol it works!

I went over to Molly's this morning to sit with her kids while she took Darren to work - so I did cardio abs there, and then did p90x chest, shoulders, tri. BUT, didn't have any weights, so I only did the stuff without weights.

Chest shoulders tri
Slow motion 3 in 1 push ups – did half on toes, half on knees
Chair dips: 20 with leg
Plange push ups: 12
Pike press: 20
Side tri rise: 17
Floor flys: 16
Two twitch speed push ups: knees half way through
Side to side push ups: 11
One arm push ups: 6 on knees
Clap or plyo push ups: just two lol – must be really tired now… too many breaks haha

Day 14 - REST, Day 15 - fit test

I don't know where I put my most recent fit test results - so here are these ones for today:

Switch kicks: 108
Power Jacks: 40
Power knee: 100
Power jumps: 22
Globe jumps: 10
suicide jumps: 15
Push-up jacks: 18
Low plank oblique: 50

This ran me out of breath like forty times... what's up with that? I must have not tried very hard the first time.... cuz I HAD to take the breaks in between. And I remember the first time, I thought this was so boring cuz the breaks were so long. ha

Day 13 - pure cardio and cardio abs

I LOVE the low/high plank pulse move in the ab workout. IT KILLS.

And my fave move in pure cardio -football stance! love it! :)

Today was a great workout. Still loving pure cardio!

Day 11 - cardio recovery, Day 12 - cardio power and resistance, p90x chest and shoulders

Did cardio recovery yesterday but forgot to write.

Did both work outs this morning - insanity, and my p90x arms. It felt nice to do a ton, but I also felt really bored this morning. Not sure why. I'm excited for tomorrow to finish my second week and move onto my third! It's about time! :)

in and out shoulder flys - 8 lbs, 16
chair dips: 20

pike press: 11
side tri rise: 10
floor flys: 9

overhead tricep extensions: 12 with 8 lbs

Day 10 - Plyometric Cardio Circuit, another p90x video?

So, woke up with Eric, and was SO tired, went back to sleep. UGH.

So tonight, gotta fit in this work out and want to get an arm work out in. Hopefully Eric stays at work pretty late today so I can get it done before he gets home.

So, just annoyed with myself. And really need to not go to bed after 9 pm. We stayed up until 11:30 or so, because we babysat a neighbor's kids while they were gone. And it just makes me way too tired. Apparently, I just need a lot of sleep. lol

More after I do the work outs tonight! :)

Was able to do insanity, but not the extra arms. Ah well - Insanity is the only thing I have to get through 60 days of, so the arms I just want to do - and wish I had the time yesterday. I'll have to make sure I get them done Friday.

Day 9 - pure cardio

Did pure cardio this morning, then got all ready and headed to the gym. I was so excited I could barely sleep. haha

My first yoga class (in a group setting) was so fun! They did this thing called "inversion" and I was the only one who could do it myself - boy, do I feel like a super star! :)

Today is a wonderful day. Also, I've gained two pounds in the last few weeks,and have been very diligent to get rid of it, and today, I lost it all and an extra pound! So 4.8 more until I'm comfortable for the cruise.

Also... my stomach/waist... it's freaking tiny. So why can't my legs be??? This is the one mystery I will never understand. It must just mean I carry my weight in my legs, so if I'm able to drop more weight, than my legs should lose the fat on them, right? That's the hope! So here's to getting rid of those pesky 9 lbs still. I've also started taking this vitamin that's supposed to help heal my knee. We'll see. For now, yoga, insanity, and p90x are doing a great job at keeping me going. I want spring to come out a bit more so I can start biking more. Eric and I can now go swimming though, so we'll be working on that! If I can't run by July, I'll be so sad. I really want to do my tri. We'll see. Maybe this year won't be the year - I just really want it to be.

ALSO - I was thinking about this today. It's amazing how much just two or three extra pounds makes me feel. I mean, it doesn't seem like a lot, but it is. I dropped eight pounds in p90x and it's amazing the difference I felt. Then, I added a pound or two since p90x, and lost it this week, and the difference is just incredibly in the way I feel.

Day 7 - rest, Day 8 - Cardio Power and Resistance

Sooooo I'm kinda mad at myself. I did get up and do Insanity, but didn't have enough time to do p90x, and I so wanted to. I may try to fit it in tonight, OR, go swimming with Eric at the gym. We'll see.

Let's see... I figured out my problem with eating. I just mindlessly eat when I do eat - and then I eat too much. Need to concentrate on how much I'm actually eating. Serve less, and serve more later if I'm still hungry. New goal this week!

Day 5 - pure cardio, Day 6 - shoulders and arms, abs/plyo cardio circuit

Yesterday I did pure cardio - it's easy for me now. :)

Today, added shoulder and arms, abs to my insanity work out from p90x. I got three weeks until we go on the cruise baby! I gotta lose 5 lbs in three weeks... possible? I think so. Here goes.

PS working out in a sports bra and shorts is very motivational - get to see more of what I have to work on! lol

Day 3 - Cardio Power & Resistance

I was so tired this morning, so now I have to resort to do this tonight. I got up with Eric, and then went straight back to bed. I need to just kick myself when I do that because then I'm more tired because I already got up. Hopefully Eric stays at work late, so I'll actually have some time to do it. If I was really ambitious, I could do it on my lunch as well. lol But maybe I'll figure out dinner at lunch, and then get right home and do insanity. We'll see.

Also, we get our rec center passes on Saturday. I'm excited about it. This means though, that I have to be SUPER diligent about going to bed by 9. It's the only way I feel completely rested that early in the morning. I want to do yoga there - and they have sunrise yoga from 6 - 6:55 am on tues/thurs. SO, my new schedule will be:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
5 am - Insanity
6 am - P90x Arms - There are four arm videos (and pull ups from back and legs) so I'll just do the arm videos 1 - 4 and rotate through.
7:30 pm - Swim

Tuesday/Thursday:
5 am - Insanity
6 am - yoga at rec center

Saturday:
After I wake up - Insanity

I hope to stick to a schedule like this - and get the most out of my gym pass. We'll see what happens. I'm excited.

After Insanity is over, it will probably be a bit warmer here, and I'll probably be able to run again ::crosses fingers:: so I'll run three times a week, and do yoga twice a week. Love it.

Day 2 - plyometric cardio circuit

Did this work out along with the ab ripper from p90x. I didn't have enough time to arms this morning before PT, so I'm gonna have to do that tonight. I really want to try to do this twice a week. Also, my end goal is to be toned/lose enough by the time I go see my sister in April - so I better hop to it! :)

Day 1 - fit test

That's right - I missed another day, and obviously, couldn't make up two - there aren't two rest days in the week - so I am starting over. I don't feel like I've really completed the program unless I really do the whole program. Hopefully, this will be the last time I restart. At least I'm not 60 days into it like with p90x when I started over. ha.

Also, I think this was exactly what I needed to slap me in the face and get me going for real. Another restart. I say that because, now I feel like WOW MORON, do you really want to start over? And no, I don't. And I really know that I don't want to start over again. So back to eating super healthy, drinking lots, making sure I don't over eat in any one sitting, and exercising. PLUS, we get our gym passes on Saturday and can go swimming more often! HURRAY!

At least I'm still exercising - even if I'm restarting - I'm still doing something - and THAT is a good thing.

So here I go again! Bring it on!

ALSO, I'm not really sure if there is more than one person reading this blog... but if there are, yell at me when I don't put up an entry! Give me some motivation here people!

Day 9 - Pure Cardio

Sometimes... I really don't like this video. It's just too much cardio. BUT, I'm really excited for it today. Here goes!

Today was the first day that I was like, wow, pure cardio is pretty easy. The actual pure cardio part is only 20 minutes, and come on, who can't do full cardio for 20 minutes??! :)

It was a good workout. I felt good - my leg didn't bother me at all. The only frustrating thing is having to baby my knee. I always get worried that I'm about hurt it again, but today I just went all out, and was fine. :) HURRAY!

Now time to get ready, make dinner, and go to PT. SEE YA!

Day 6 - Plyo cardio circuit Day 7 - REST

So today I didn't do the exercise - but the last two days I did. So I'm taking the week's rest day today. For some reason, my leg is killing me today. I'm NOT excited. Can't it just be healed already? PLEASE?
